Vivo T2 5G price in India
The Vivo T2 5G has been launched in two RAM and storage options. The base variant provides 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs 18,999 and the top model includes 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs 20,999.
Vivo T2 5G Design and Display
In terms of design, T2 5G is quite different from its predecessor model. The new smartphone comes with a completely different camera module and build. It provides flat polycarbonate body and frame. There are two large rings at the back, one of which includes primary camera sensors in the ring and a LED flash with secondary camera sensor in the ring. Vivo has sent us the Nitro Blaze color of T2 5G and as we told in our first impression, this variant comes with quite bright finish. Its special thing is that the back panel changes the shed from blue to orange when light on different angles. The panel has a unique gradient pattern. There are fingers on the panel, but do not appear due to its finish. Certainly I personally looked a lot of premium this color option. However, the choice in colors is completely personal. If you like classic black color more, you can choose its Valosity Blaze color.

Due to the flat frame and light round edges, it is easy to catch the smartphone and with a weight of 172 grams and 7.8mm thickness it has no problem in holding it in the hand for a long time. The volume on the right side of the frame and the placement of power and lock/unlock button is also correct, which makes it easy to reach them. Overall, I liked the in-hand feel of Vivo T2 5G. While most competitions try to give expensive feel to the smartphone with hole-panch cutouts, thin bezels, Vivo T2 5G takes the design with a large side bezel, thick chin and waterdrop notch a few years back.
The Vivo T2 5G gets a 6.38-inch display and the new model is upgraded to the AMOLED panel instead of the IPS panel included in the T1 5G, which also offers a better brightness level. The company claims that the screen supports the refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and peak brightness of 1300 NITs. The display supports HDR10 with Widevine L1. While HDR playback is not available for content streaming apps, my experience of content streaming on OTT platform like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar was good. The display generates quite vibrant and panchi color and also shows deep black.
The screen supports refreshed rates up to 90Hz and through settings you can choose an option between Standard 60Hz and 90Hz. It also provides a ‘smart switch’, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate to 60 and 90Hz according to the work being done on the screen. I did not feel any lag on the screen in animation or transition and while scrolling.

The good thing is that even today, Vivo T2 5G gets a 3.5mm headphone jack for those using wired earphones, but if you are one of the content on the speaker, you will get a little disappointment here, because the smartphone gets only a speaker, which is not enough loud for content streaming. The phone comes with AI-based face recognition and in-display fingerprint scanner and both are accurate and fast in terms of authentication.
Vivo T2 5G specifications and software
Vivo T2 5G has Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which was also available in last year’s T1 5G. Although the new T2 5G 44W supports fastened charging compared to the previous model, the battery capacity has been reduced from 5000mAh to 4,500mAh included in the preceding. This includes Hybrid SIM Slot, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6 and GPS. We have reviewed its 6GB RAM variants.

Vivo T2 runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on 5G Android 13. In the recent past, Vivo has made many improvements in Funtouch OS, but even today the software is full of blotware. The first boot had many native apps and third-party apps in front of me, out of which you can remove third-party apps, but there was no option to disable many native apps. The good thing is that folders like Hot Apps and Hot Games can be disabled via V -pp store. Some native apps sent me four to five notifications a day. One area where improvement has been done is RAM management. I noticed that most of apps were active in the background and did not load on switching back. However, while running games or heavy apps, software inactive some apps to keep RAM free. In this you will get plenty of customization options.
Vivo T2 5G Performance and Battery Life
Snapgraon 695-equipped smartphone scored an Antutu score of 410,346, while on Geekbench 6 it got 869 in single-core test and 1,879 in multi-core test. The phone won 77fps and 17fps respectively in the graphics benchmarch GFX Bench’s T-Rex and Car Chase Tests. I did not issue any kind of performance in everyday uses. The phone handles almost all the tasks quite well. Be it social media apps or games, my overall experience was quite smooth.
Talking about gaming, I played graphics intensive games like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty: Mobile, which took time to load in the beginning, but the games in low and medium settings should be very smooth. Call of Duty: Mobile Default as ‘HIGH’ graphics setting and ‘high’ frame rate combination, in which I had no problem playing on long gaming. However, as soon as I switched to the Settings Kho ‘Very High’ graphics and ‘very high’ frame rate, I sometimes felt stutter during the gameplay, but it did not spoil the gaming experience. Even after about 30 minutes of gaming, the phone did not heat up.
In terms of battery life, Vivo T2 5G impressed me a lot. The smartphone gave a screen-on time of about nine hours. Vivo claims that the smartphone can be charged 60% in 25 minutes. In our test, we found that through the adapter given in the box, the phone was charged 1-40 percent in 30 minutes and 1-100 percent in about 1 hour 17 minutes. In our HD video battery loop test, T2 5G supported 20 hours, 52 minutes, which is very good.

Vivo T2 5G Camera
The Vivo T2 5G provides a dual-camera setup at the back, including a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The phone has a 16 -megapixel front camera for selfie. The phone does not have an ultra-wide camera.
Start with a primary camera, its daylight performance is quite good. Exposure and color in the pictures were accurate and details were also rich. HDR also performed his work well and exposed both the subject and background even after the direct light coming from behind and there was no shortage of color and details in the shots. A 64MP mode is also available in the camera app, which takes photos in the full resolution of the sensor. Exposure and color in the shots taken in this mode were accurate, but there was a shortage of details in the photo and noise was also present.

Top to Bottom: Primary Camera
The low-light performance of the main sensor was also above average. Shots were exposed correctly and the color was also accurate. At the same time, night mode works to add details and exposure to the pictures and makes the photos Instagram ready. Night mode also works to reduce noise in deep parts of photos.

Top to Bottom: Primary Camera, Night Mode (Last)
Portrait mode along the rear camera also works well in both day and night position. Shots have a natural background blur. However, the camera failed to steam the sides of the subject several times. In addition, in some shots in portrait mode I found an effect -like effect, but it happened once out of 10. Skin tones were accurate in photos taken in portrait mode from selfie camera. However, the camera on the default settings makes the skin slightly smooth, which you can adjust to the beauty mode settings. Edge detection in portrait mode was also not accurate with front cameras.

Portrait mode
The Vivo T2 5G rear main camera sensor can record the video up to 1080p (FHD) resolution on 60fps. Certainly most contestants, even T2 5G’s brother Iqoo Z7 5G also support 4K video recording. The video without OIS was quite unstable, but the video was stable with cropping from turning on OIS. Video results with better dynamic range and color were good. The front camera can record video with 1080p resolution on 30fps, which removed me the results of good quality.
Should you buy Vivo T2 5G?
Prices less than Rs 20,000 for base variants, Vivo T2 5G Makes good competitors in its segment. The smartphone does not compromise more than performance in many parts. In this budget, Ultra Bright AMOLED display, 3.5mm earphone ports, tall battery backup and fast charging T2 5G make the ideal smartphone for those who stream content. Not only this, the device will not disappoint the casual gamers playing graphics intensive games. The day-light performance of the rear camera setup is good and it can give you some good shots at night. The selfie camera can also give a selfie to be uploaded directly to Instagram in good light. However I missed an ultra-wide camera in the setup.
Stereo speaker lacks Vivo T2 5G one step back from the competition. However, in terms of price, it cannot be called a deal breaker. At the same time, if you are already aware of Funtouchos, then you will not feel any problem with software. Overall, Vivo T2 5G is definitely a good option for purchase in this price range.
Update: The original version of the review stated that the Vivo T2 5G has no IP rating, as it was not reported anywhere (brand site, press material, etc.) while publishing the review. It was also described in our ratings. Vivo has now told us via email that the phone has received an IP54 rating. Hence the review has been updated.
