Gopro Hero 11 Black First Impression: Camera opens new possibilities

A new action camera has been launched by Gopro. This camera company has introduced this camera under its Hero 11 series. It has two models, which are- Hero 11 Black and Hero 11 Black Mini. The series has a compact version of Hero 11 Black Mini camera Hero 11 Black in which some advanced features have been removed. Gopro has sent only Hero 11 Black to me. So today I will see what improvements have been made by the company after Hero 10 Black. The old model is still being sold in India with a low price. The price of Hero 11 Black has been kept at Rs 51,500, which is still quite expensive but has been launched at less than the price of Hero 10 Black.

If you look at design and physical dimensions Gopro Hero 11 Black It is almost similar to its old model. If 11 black is not written on the side of the camera, it is difficult to identify both. This new camera of the company comes with a rugged design and it is waterproof to get into water up to 10 meters. It has a 2.27 -inch touchscreen back display and a small display, the front side, which is a color display but touchless. The lens cover can be removed and the camera supports Max Lens MOD. Mounting fingers are provided in the bottom and a flap has been given to preserve the battery and USB Type C on the side.

Hero 11 Black Gopro camera comes with Enduro battery, which was available for separate purchase in the old model. This time the company has promised recordings for 38 percent longer time. Hero 10 Black brought with it the GP2 processor and a new sensor has been given in Hero 11. It is 1/1.9 inches large, while its horizontal resolution is the same. Being longer, it gets more vertical resolution and it comes with a new 8: 7 aspect ratio.

Due to the big sensor, photographs of 27 megapixels can be taken from Gopro Hero 11 Black. Apart from this, a new Hyperview lens has been given for video recording which gives more wide field of view than the Supervis Lens. Hero 11 Black supports 10 bit color and 120Mbps video bitrate, which can be enabled by going to protune settings. The new model has the latest version of Hypersmooth 5.0, it provides 5.3K resolution support when shooting a TIMEWARP video. Apart from this, a new preset for vehicle lights and star trails has also been given in the Timelps menu.

Like the Hero 10 Black, this new model gets the maximum video recording resolution of up to 5.3K at 60fps and up to 4K at 120fps. Many variations are found in it for framraties and resolution, with which it can be played. With 8: 7 aspect ratio, the company says that through the Quik App, the video is later available to export the video in 4: 3 and even in 9:16. The quality of the video also remains the same in this process.

If you have recently used the Gopro device, then you will soon understand the user interface of Gopro Hero 11 Black, but now the Settings menu has been arranged in a better way. By going to the new video mode settings, you can now switch to the Extended Battery Mode, after which it shifts the video recording to a low resolution and disables the 8: 7 aspect option. You can also customize the video preset, but after switching to the Extended Battery Mode, you get the quick access to the video preset that protects the battery from finishing up very soon. With the Controls Togal button you can switch to Easy Mode which gives you a preset for video, photos and timetles. This is useful for those who want to shoot just by pointing on the camera subject as soon as possible.

I have not spent much time with Gopro Hero 11, but so far I have liked its image and video quality. Gopro always gives excellent stabilization and Auto Boost has also come this time with Hero 11 Black that works only on stabilization when needed, so that the frame does not crop permanently during that clip. I found a great feature called Horizon Lock in it which is used for 360 degrees rotation, which means that the horizon remains there, and the camera rotates at 360 degrees. This was one of the main features of Max Lens MOD and Gopro Max 360 degree camera, but Hero 11 Black now supports it originally.
