The TVs of Philips AMBilight 7900 Series come in three sizes including 55 inch, 65 inch and 75 inch TVs. Their price goes from Rs 99,990 to Rs 1,89,990. All three TVs have the same specifications and features, including three side ambilite LED lighting on the back side of the TV. ,
From the front and back side, this TV looks the same as a modern budget TV or mid range TV. There are border slim around the screen, a logo in the bottom, module for IR receiver, indicator lights and a multi -function physical button that can be controlled power and volume.
The TV is slightly thicker but slim on the edges, which after hanging on the wall, provides access easily for the left side ports. The 55 -inch variant weighs without a stand 14.2 kg. It is a compatible with vesa wall mount that is not found in the box. The box has a table stand which can be fixed near the corners of the TV. This means that you will need a large table to keep the TV.
Philips AMBILIGHT 7900 Series TV takes a simple TV at first sight to watch from outside, but when you turn on the TV, its main features are revealed. The TV frame has LED lights which are on the left, top and right edges. They spread colorful lights on the wall behind TV. These lights are quite bright, so that if the TV is placed on the table, then a lot of light is spread on the wall.
Philips AMBILIGHT 7900 Series Most of the 55 -inch TV ports are given backwards in a rectangular khache whose mouth is downwards. That is, before applying the TV on the wall, you will have to make most of the connections in advance. The rear ports include digital audio-out (toals), a USB Type-A port, RJ45 Ethernet port, antennic socket and three HDMI ports.
The port of the left side is quite easy to access, even if the TV is hanging the wall. These include an HDMI port (with ARC support), 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB TYPE-A port. The company has done understanding work by giving ARC enable port on the side.

Fillips Ambilite 7900 Series 55 inch Ultra HD LED Android TV (55Put7906/94) Remote & Features
The company has given full size remote with TV, which is slightly larger according to the need. Button, playback control, input selection and a classic number pad have been given to control navigation on the remote. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play and YouTube as well as hot for Google Assistant. Microphones for voice command are also found in remote.
The remote has an INFO button that describes resolution and internet speed. Apart from this, the an ambilite button is also available which can soon be reached in the embellite menu and the ambilite effects can be closed or turned on, as well as the settings can also be modified.
Initially, remote did the right work. But after a few weeks I found that it was doing this work only after doing it in front of the IR receiver. It only took place within a night when it was working properly on the first day. There was no improvement with changing the battery and resetting the TV. Bluetooth connectivity was working only for Google Assistant. Surprisingly, after a few days, the remote started working correctly, so it was very important to tell this problem here.
Philips 55Put7906/94 are quite simple in terms of TV features. The TV has a built -in casting for content casting and Google Assistant for Voice Command.
Fillips Ambilite 7900 Series 55 inch Ultra HD LED Android TV (55Put7906/94) Software & Interface
Philips AMBilight 7900 Series 55 inch LED TV runs on Android TV, 10 OS. It sounds like some Google TV. In this, the rest of Android TV gets the same main experience. The TV has access to Google Play Store which has more than 7000 apps and games.

Apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube are already installed in TV. On the basis of these, TV also performs content recommendation. It may be one step behind Google TV UI, but stock Android TV user interface is also a good option.
Apart from the problem in the remote, I found a decrease somewhere in its user interface performance. While navigating the UI, there was a slight delay in the reaction, which was also seen as a leg in the picture. It was a good thing that there was no such problem while playing the real content, but I felt much easier and comfortable to switch to Cravast with Google TV.
Performance of Fillips Ambilite 7900 Series 55 inch Ultra HD LED Android TV (55Put7906/94)
Nowadays, quantum dot or OLED TV is available for less than Rs 1 lakh. Philips AMBILIGHT 7900 Series 55-Inch LED Tv seems madness to spend so much money. Although the ambilite effect is quite unique in itself. Brands like Govee and Philips now provide solutions to setup LED lighting in TV even after purchasing. Nevertheless, the company’s an ambilite feature is easy to use, and it also makes it special to control it through TV remote. But, I am surprised if only embelliting is enough to make it premium?
The TV has an ultra HD resolution LED screen with HDR support till the Dolby Vision. Performance with high quality content is quite good. The picture looks equally sharp as it can be. But it has some flaws that I cannot expect in TV of 1 lakh rupees.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will be right for the beginning of telling about it. Bright colors were seen while watching the movie and trippy comic book style visuals looked good. It was fun to watch this movie on TV with an ambilite function and I was not disappointed.

The work done by Ambillite with the film was quite impressed. Due to the bright lights following the TV with bright colors on the screen, I felt the picture bigger and vibrant than the picture. The embellite effect was able to rapidly read the colors on the edges of the screen and flow with the screen, which was enjoying the fun of the fast running colorful content.
Better Call Saul was unable to do much with monochrom scenes and muted colors. It seemed better to switch it off here. I found that the effects looked better when ambilights were falling on the white wall. The effect on the blue wall with texture was decreasing.
It is easy to control ambilite settings on TV, which is a good thing. Presets have also been given for this, so that you can control its intensity. When set in Lounge Laizing, it has a single color lighting. The picture was quite sharp in Into The Spider-VesE. The picture was also quite colorful and bright in Masaba Masaba. The colors looked good but there were no Panchi at all compared to cheap Xiaomi OLED Vision TV.
The backlighting of the display was offering whitewash effect in the dark scene, which looked dark gray. Such performance can be expected from an affordable LED TV, so I was disappointed with this TV here. Philips AMBilight 7900 Series TV is quite bright, which is due to its LED display. Because of this, it can also be easily seen in a room with too much light. In such a situation, if the light is reduced in the room even by dropping the curtain, then the picture starts looking very good. Here TVs like Hisense 55U6g are more bright as well as cheap.

The TV has supported HDR till the Dolby Vision, but TV does not get much benefit from it. Switching into HDR compared to SDR content shows a slight improvement in brightness and colors. It was not the same as seen in another television including Sony X75K, which only performs well with HDR10 capacity.
The TV properly upscates the low resolution content. HD and FullHD movies and TV shows look good in terms of sharpness on this. There is no problem with motion, color and contrast. TV’s sound quality cannot be called amazing, but it is not even bad. The 20W speakers perform a little less less as expected. TV sound is sufficient for small rooms. The volume has to be increased in a large room. Dolby does not improve the Atmos sound too much. Overall, the sound experience can be said to be right.
Our decision
Philips AMBILIGHT 7900 Series LED TV is quite unique. You can buy it, due to its an amblight system. Initially it seems unnecessary, but it proves very effective in increasing the viewing experience. However, just the lighting effect does not do the full justice for the price of Rs 99,990.
Talking about the performance, the TV performs 60 thousand or the TV -like TV. Which includes the company’s own 8100 Series 55-Inch TV. There is a decrease in black level. Overall brightness also does not complete it. At the same time, some strange problems were also revealed with remote.
If the ambilite system is the most thrilling for you, then you can think about buying this TV. It actually works well and the entertainment that the customer wants on TV, it definitely increases it. If you do not have to do special to do with an ambilite, then you can watch Xiaomi OLED Vision TV, which is present as a better option than Philips TV at the same price.
